How the Thai year conversion works
Thailand commonly numbers years using the Buddhist Era (BE), while the Gregorian calendar uses Common Era (CE) year numbers. For modern Thai civil dates, the Buddhist Era year is 543 greater than the corresponding Gregorian year.
Enter either a year, such as 2569, or a complete numeric date in YYYY-MM-DD format. The converter keeps the month and day unchanged and adjusts the year in the selected direction.
Full dates are checked for real month lengths and leap years after conversion, so entries such as February 29 are accepted only when that day exists in the corresponding Gregorian year.
